Please join us for an evening of life stories around the theme of Kids Stuff -- Stories of children and the people that used to be them. Hear tales of the kids we know, and the kids we were. Come witness five, true life stories, performed live, without gimmicks props or scripts.

FOUR:Yourself is the ultimate verbatim script of our time; a multimedia/live mashup of popular song, TV and film, interacting with the performance of ‘real life’ drawn from years of MAP artists’ rigorously documented and recorded socializations.

But MainLine is still abuzz in its own right...

CONFABULATION PRESENTS: V FOR VICTORY!
Guess what? Confabulation -- Montreal's newest/hottest/awesomest all-true monthly storytelling event is now ONE YEAR OLD! So I guess we can scratch off newest from that list. Confabulation will mark its twelfth show in twelve months (!) with an evening of stories under the theme of V is for Victory: Successes, celebrations and winnings. As always, the stories will be told without notes, props or gimmicks, and all be true.

Cake will be served for those who get there in time. Like. I'm baking it. So there'll be one, totally regular sized cake. For 100ish people. Or bring your own cake and spread the joy!

GRINDHOUSE PRESENTS: TROLL 2!
Grindhouse Wednesdays returns to the first Wednesday of the month with a small-scale affair featuring evil vegan monsters. There will be popcorn, beer, and a subtle sense of existential malaise! DJ Sarcastic holding it down!

Oh yeah, and this raises money for Head & Hands. If you don't know who they are, they basically kick ass by helping troubled kids giving them access to stuff like doctors, financial aid, condoms, sex ed, counselling, even lube! They have a drop-in centre and field workers, and they rely on contributions to stay afloat.

Performed through a cast of nameless women, each known only by a color of the rainbow, For Colored Girls is about the experiences that many women all over the world go through. Originally staged over 30 years ago, it has been performed off and on Broadway with the 1977 Broadway production being nominated for a Tony Award for best play. Gutsy, emotional, provocative and filled with humour; the show offers an entertaining experience filled with vivid narratives.

Spring is in the air, the Habs are in the playoffs, and MainLine is jumping for the next couple of weeks.

DE L'AMOUR ET DES RESTES HUMAINS
Benita raconte des histoires horribles, abominables. Comme celles qu’on se racontait, enfant, quand on jouait à avoir peur. Dans une ville canadienne où Brad Fraser fait vivre ses personnages, l’avenir n’a pas tenu ses promesses. David, Kane et Bernie; Candy, Jerri et Robert essaient de tromper leur déception, de remplir le vide. Mais, peu à peu, leur vie se peuple de cauchemars aussi épouvantables que les histoires de Benita. Cauchemars où il est question de meurtres en série: cauchemars où l’amour se pervertit en une maladie qui fait pourrir les corps.
De l’amour et des restes humains traduit avec une force peu commune ces instants où l’horreur affleure à la surface de la réalité.
