Confabulation presents: Montreal Stories -- Our 5-year Anniversary

Confabulation Montreal

Company website

Break out the birthday cake, and don those points hats. It's our fifth-birthday! Confabulation is so grateful to all you wonderful people for supporting Montreal's longest-running monthly true-life storytelling series these many years, and we're having a party to celebrate. As always, great stories shared by the people that lived them. As every birthday, cake. Made by our host and producer. And any other kind souls who want to kick in too.

Montreal — a city of stories. Unique people, places and events create a city that is rich in personal and political histories. Confabulation is a monthly showcase, dedicated to giving these stories a home, or at least a stage on which to play.

Confabulation is a unique storytelling event in Montreal where all the stories are true. They are honest accounts, told without notes, props, or gimmicks. The show is inspired by The Moth, and millennia of oral tradition history, and hopes to encourage the practice and art of storytelling in this contemporary world.

Hosted and produced by local actor and comedian Matt Goldberg, Confabulation brings you a showcase of unique, true tales told live by people.

OH! And as always -- we'll be announcing the next year's worth of themes at this event. So if you're an aspiring storyteller, or a returning vet, then you don't wanna miss this one.

All kinds of people.
Doctors. Boxers. Students. Grandmas. You.
Anybody.
And hopefully, everybody.

The Montreal Clown Festival is pleased to return to its roots at the home of the St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival to present a cabaret of new work, “New Recipes” featuring 12 brave clowns.

Under the direction of Gabe McKinney (Director, Old God; Speigleworld; Dell-Arte graduate and guest teacher), 12 performers developed short new works for the opening night of the 4-day Clown festival after a same-day, high-stakes workshop.

The Creator of the Universe is coming to Montréal for the first time ever! God takes the stage in the form of Montréal actor Donald Rees in An Act of God: the divinely funny, critically acclaimed Broadway hit play by David Javerbaum, in which God and His devoted angels answer the deepest questions that have plagued mankind since creation.
