Fuyant un monde cacophonique qui le dépasse, Philidor s’enferme seul chez lui dans le silence. De là, il tente par tous les moyens de se créer un espace où règne enfin l’harmonie. Dans un univers futuriste pas si lointain, il se retrouve malgré lui au cœur d’une réalité qui lui échappe encore. Car entre le contrôle total et la totale perte de contrôle, il n’y a qu’un faux pas.

The Quest
Les clowns ont remarqué qu’il y a quelque chose qui ne va pas avec l’eau, elle n’est pas traitée correctement. Les clowns partent en quête pour trouver les valeurs Anishnabe puisque ce sont elles qui peuvent restaurer l’eau. Les valeurs sont : la patience, la compassion, la vérité, la confiance, l’honneur, le respect et l’amour. Les choses sont compliquées par le fait qu’ils doivent enseigner à nouveaux ces valeurs à l’humanité afin que l’eau puisse rester pure une fois guérie.

Avoiding a cacophonous world that overwhelms him, Philidor isolates himself alone at home in silence. From there, he tries everything to create a place where harmony can be omnipresent. In a not-so-distant future, he finds himself despite all at the heart of a reality which he cannot grasp. Because between being in complete control and completely losing control, there is just a single mishap.

The Quest
The Clowns have noticed there is something wrong with the water, she is not being treated properly. The clowns go on a quest to find the seven Anishinaabe values because it is these values that can restore the water. The values are: patience, compassion, truth, trust, honour, respect and love. Things are complicated by the fact that they must teach humanity about these values again so that the water can remain pure once it has been healed.

The Montreal Clown Festival is pleased to return to its roots at the home of the St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival to present a cabaret of new work, “New Recipes” featuring 12 brave clowns.
Under the direction of Gabe McKinney (Director, Old God; Speigleworld; Dell-Arte graduate and guest teacher), 12 performers developed short new works for the opening night of the 4-day Clown festival after a same-day, high-stakes workshop.
