MainLine Theatre
MainLine Theatre, a registered charity, works year-round to bring you indie and professional theatre on the Main, the St-Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival, the Bouge d'ici Dance Festival, the Rocky Horror Show and now - The MainLine Gallery - a hotspot for visual artists (right beside Schwartz).
It's been a very busy season so far with MainLine hosting the Fringe World Congress, the first time ever held outside Edinburgh. And we are a finalist for the prestigious Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal, with the winner being announced on March 30.
Help us raise $10,000 this year by becoming a Friend of Fringe & MainLine theatre! We have a variety of donor benefits for you to choose from. What if you entered an empty rehearsal hall and suddenly an audience appears? Joseph Ste-Marie brings his experimental scripted/improvised one-man show, This Show is Broken back to the stage! This remount blends the 2021 Digital Theatre production from the Montreal FRINGE Festival and the original 2015 production at the 2nd annual Shortstanding Festival. Ste-Marie must perform his show as he explores his life, struggles, missteps, and tries to show that it’s not too late to pursue your dreams…. However, Joseph is challenged to be honest with himself so his show can be authentic as possible without being blinded by ambition.
