Who's Afraid of Margaret Atwood

Troisième Espace Théâtre

Company website

Who’s Afraid of Margaret Atwood? was born of the ideals of our company, a comedic cry from the dark of four Montreal arts students who tremor and tingle in the face of working outside the tiled hallways of a post-secondary institution. In an enormous and vast nation of limited opportunities, what unites us beyond the influence of our southerly neighbour, and its monstrous ideas of stardom? A product of homegrown Concordian writing, Troisième Espace Théâtre is thrilled to share this fleshy project presenting roles and themes we as young, bilingual Canadian artists believe to be relevant.

The Montreal Clown Festival is pleased to return to its roots at the home of the St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival to present a cabaret of new work, “New Recipes” featuring 12 brave clowns.

Under the direction of Gabe McKinney (Director, Old God; Speigleworld; Dell-Arte graduate and guest teacher), 12 performers developed short new works for the opening night of the 4-day Clown festival after a same-day, high-stakes workshop.

INSIDE MADPOETIX STUDIO is revolutionizing our Soirées Intimes Series by allowing the audience to get to know the feature performer through an interview during the show live. The artist will be interviewed by our host Kym Dominique Ferguson @Mrkdferguson. This is a one of a kind experience. There will be 8 Open Mic spots available for all genres: spoken word, poetry, comedy, singers, clowns, dancers, you name it we welcome it. They are each given a 5 min timeslot.

The Variations Mile End dancers perform an original choreographed performance using The wizard of oz as inspiration!
