It's the re-entry - hope you had a great summer! We've got some exciting stuff going on this fall, so let's get right to the hottest night school in town!

First of all, I'd like to introduce you to our faculty:

Jeremy Hechtman, Headmaster (aka Artistic and Executive Director). Jeremy is responsible for discipline and curriculum - i.e. if you want to book MainLine for an event, he's the man with the lesson plan. Email : jeremy at montrealfringe dot ca

STRIP SPELLING BEE! The game is played a lot like strip poker, but it's a spelling bee, and it's played in front of a live audience of hooters, hollerers and hecklers who want to see some smart and sexy skin! Thursday Sept. 2 @ 9 pm, $10 at the door (no advance tickets, sorry!).

REEFER MADNESS: THE MUSICAL! Inspired by the original 1936 film of the same name, this raucous musical comedy takes a tongue-in-cheek look at the hysteria caused when clean-cut kids fall prey to marijuana, leading them on a hysterical downward spiral filled with evil jazz music, sex and violence. This dynamic show will go straight to your head! Directed and choreographed by Nichole Carlone, featuring George Bekiaris, Christopher Hayes, Jade Hassouné, Helena Patte , Marc-André Poulin, Joanne Sarazen, Emily Skahan, Émilie Barrette, Hannah Eichenwald, Julie Goldenberg, Christopher Pineda and Karelle Rémillard.

DR. SKETCHY! The international burlesque show-meets-live-drawing class resumes Sunday, September 26 @ 2 pm as part of the Montreal International Burlesque Festival!

We are very pleased to announce a new partnership with the Quebec Drama Federation! The INDIE WORKSHOP SERIES will be presented monthly at MainLine, featuring all the info you need to get your show up and running. First up is GRANTWRITING, with Jane Needles and Patrick Goddard. Monday, September 20 @ 7 pm. The workshop is $20 (sorry, not free as previously reported).

MainLine will also host the first QDF THEATRE CALENDAR LAUNCH! You know the Theatre Calendar as your one-stop shop for English theatre in Quebec; now you can actually get a taste of the shows in the calendar with a free preview night, Monday, September 13.
