Confabulation presents: Tell the Family

Confabu-fans,

We here at Confabulation love the holidays. After all, what are the holidays without thoughts of family? And as a true-life storytelling show, what produces more tellable tales than those people whose presences and absences so largely made us the people we are today?

We have a few tradtions at Confabulation -- and one of our favourites is our annual Family show. Confabulation presents: Tell the Family. As always, all the stories will be true as can be told. As not usually, stories won't necessarily be about the storyteller. For this special show, we invite both personal stories about families, but also the stories we inherit -- tales of our grandparents, greataunts and long lost cousins.

We've had a ton of submissions -- but you can feel free to send us even more through the website: confabulationmontreal.com.

Tickets are $10 -- but buy in advance if you can... This one's always popular.

December 5th at 8PM

Tickets are available:
At confabulationmontreal.com
Or at the door the night of the event.

What if you entered an empty rehearsal hall and suddenly an audience appears? Joseph Ste-Marie brings his experimental scripted/improvised one-man show, This Show is Broken back to the stage! This remount blends the 2021 Digital Theatre production from the Montreal FRINGE Festival and the original 2015 production at the 2nd annual Shortstanding Festival. Ste-Marie must perform his show as he explores his life, struggles, missteps, and tries to show that it’s not too late to pursue your dreams…. However, Joseph is challenged to be honest with himself so his show can be authentic as possible without being blinded by ambition.
