In The Wings Promotions is thrilled to be bringing Broadway star DEREK KLENA to teach an exclusive masterclasses in Montreal on February 26, 2017.

Broadway star, Derek Klena (Wicked, Bridges of Madison County, Dogfight and this spring's Anastasia), will hold an exclusive masterclass in Montreal for local performers. During the workshop, participants will have the opportunity to work on musical theatre or pop selections, monologues or scene work. Enrollment in the masterclass is extremely limited and open to participants who will each have one-on-one time with Derek, as well as auditors who can observe and learn from the audience. The masterclass will conclude with a Q & A with Derek and time to grab a selfie or autograph.

Participation Fee: $195 (taxes included)
Observation Fee: $75 (taxes included)

Time: 10:00AM - 1:30PM

**Participation is limited and on a first come, first served basis.
Participants will work individually with Derek and gain useful feedback and coaching on presentation and interpretation. If you are interested in getting a chance to work with Derek, please send an email to masterclass@inthewingspromotions.com. Please include in the subject line "Derek Klena Masterclass – Participant" Those participating will need to prepare two contrasting 32 bar cuts of musical theatre or pop songs and bring their book OR prepare a 2 minute monologue OR prepare a scene to work on with another participant. Full payment will need to be made upon confirmation of participation.

An accompanist will be provided.

Derek Klena originated the role of Dmitry in Anastasia at Hartford Stage and can be seen as Dmitry this spring on Broadway. Broadway: The Bridges of Madison County (OBC), Wicked (10th Anniversary Company). Off-Broadway: Dogfight (Second Stage, Clive Barnes Award Nom.), Carrie (MCC). Regional: Diner (Signature Theatre (D.C.), Delaware Theatre Company), Unknown Soldier (Williamstown Theatre Festival), Hairspray (Hollywood Bowl). Refund/Cancellation Policy
For all In the Wings Promotions (ITW) Masterclasses, registration fees are strictly non-refundable. If a student is unable to attend the Masterclass, the registration fee may be credited for future use provided a written request for cancellation is received at least 14 (fourteen) days prior to the start of the Masterclass.

If a student fails to attend any ITW Masterclass, and does not give 14 (fourteen) days notice, they must provide one of the following to be eligible to receive a credit: 1.) A doctor's note citing a serious illness or medical emergency, 2.) Documentation of paid performance employment, 3.) Written proof of unforseen travel issues (snow, cancelled flight, Act of God, etc). If a student is unable to provide one of these items, ITW cannot offer a credit for cancelled registration in any class. In the Wings Promotions reserves the right to cancel any class if less then 10 paid students have registered or if external factors might endanger participant safety (severe weather, Act of God, etc). In the rare event that this occurs, ITW will offer a full refund for all participants.

Credits may be used for any ITW Masterclass. All credits will expire one year from the date on which they are issued. Credits are strictly non-transferable.

MariMusical, Marianopolis' musical club, presents Once Upon a Time and Space, a combination of five distinct 10-minute musicals in one show. Fantasy and reality collide as characters from different time periods are put in situations out of the ordinary.

"CAST invites you all to the first-ever CAST Cabaret! Come join us for an evening of fun and excitement filled with student acts on the stage at the heart of Montreal's indie scene and Fringe Festival, the MainLine Theatre!

This thrilling night will also serve as a fundraiser for CAST events so that we are able to continue offering the student body new and meaningful initiatives like this!

Students and Faculty are invited to come perform, hang out and cheer each other on from the audience. This is sure to be a night you won't want to miss!"
