Speak Truth of the Dead

Supper's Ready

In Speak the Truth of the Dead, storyteller Jennifer Ansell-Clark tells the tales of a few friends, enemies, family members and possible saints, as she remembers them; for both their faults and their triumphs. We all wonder about our own mortality and how the passing of those we love (or detest) will affect us. Through the stories of the departed, Jennifer faces the questions that affect us all: When we die, what will become of us, and what will be left behind?

Performances on April 11th & 12th at 8PM.

This performance is also a fundraiser and half the proceeds will be given to the Oncology Pivot Nurses Fund of the Jewish General Hospital. These wonderful nurses have been the rocks anchoring many a person's journey through battling cancer and they more than deserve our love and support.

For those who cannot attend, please consider using the PayPal link below to contribute to the fund for these wonderful nurses.

What if you entered an empty rehearsal hall and suddenly an audience appears? Joseph Ste-Marie brings his experimental scripted/improvised one-man show, This Show is Broken back to the stage! This remount blends the 2021 Digital Theatre production from the Montreal FRINGE Festival and the original 2015 production at the 2nd annual Shortstanding Festival. Ste-Marie must perform his show as he explores his life, struggles, missteps, and tries to show that it’s not too late to pursue your dreams…. However, Joseph is challenged to be honest with himself so his show can be authentic as possible without being blinded by ambition.

The Montreal Clown Festival is pleased to return to its roots at the home of the St. Ambroise Montreal Fringe Festival to present a cabaret of new work, “New Recipes” featuring 12 brave clowns.

Under the direction of Gabe McKinney (Director, Old God; Speigleworld; Dell-Arte graduate and guest teacher), 12 performers developed short new works for the opening night of the 4-day Clown festival after a same-day, high-stakes workshop.
