Amy Blackmore is the Executive and Artistic Director of MainLine Theatre and the Montreal Fringe Festival and the Bouge d’ici Dance Festival. An artist and META-nominated (Montreal English Theatre Awards) choreographer, her recent projects include direction of Kenny Streule’s Malunderstood, Oren Safdie’s Gratitude and MainLine Theatre’s Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show. Her cultural collaborations include the visioning of the Fringe World Congress (2016) which garnered MainLine a nomination to the prestigious Grand Prix du Conseil des arts de Montréal, the chairing of the Quebec Drama Federation Congress Shaping the Future of English Theatre in Quebec (2018) and collaborating with the Reykjavik and Gothenburg Fringe Festivals on the the International Fringe Arts Exchange (2024, 2025). Amy was a finalist for the Montreal Junior Chamber of Commerce’s Young Cultural Entrepreneur Award (2019) and a leadership fellow at the Business/Arts Canadian Arts Summit (2019). With over 15 years of grant jury experience, she works with Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal (PWM) and the English Language Arts Network (ELAN) as a grant consultant. She was President of the Quebec Drama Federation from 2015-2018 and recently completed her ten-year tenure on their board of directors. Amy is now the Vice-President of the Caisse Desjardins de la Culture and the President of Parts+Labour_Danse.
Having sat on juries for Canada Council for the Arts, le Conseil des arts et lettres du Québec and le Conseil des arts de Montréal, Amy works with Playwrights’ Workshop Montreal (PWM) and the English Language Arts Network (ELAN) as a grant writing consultant for artists.
