Well, almost. We are thrilled that Shane Adamczak will be boarding a plane shortly to come back to Montreal after beign in Australia since the fall. We will be welcoming him back to MainLine Theatre as our artist-in-residence.
Celebrate the sort-of arrival of Spring at MainLine by attending one of our many events this week. We have comedy, storytelling, radio plays and more. What better way to getter over the winter blues than by dancing in the arms of a stranger at the slowdance night? (there is no better way)
Samedi, Dr. Sketchy Montréal présentera leur scéance avec la belle Lanvendar May. Finallement, pour la première fois, nous accueillons la troupe Champagne May West pour une soirée de comédie.
I have to admit - I constantly have #fringemtl on my mind. FRINGE is my favourite time year. I can never seem to get enough of it. I think it's because I firmly believe in the festival's values of diversity, community and accessibility (and also the partying, the shinadigans and the art!). Whatever the case may be, come get your FRINGE on early at The Balding this week in the MiniMain.
Between the jazz in the MainSpace from an adaptation of Aristophanes' Lysistrata and the rock from Playwright Hero's Johnny Legdick in the MiniMain, I've been listening to a mishmash of both from my office and it's been pretty great! You are in for a musical treat at whichever show you choose to see at MainLine this week...
This week we host the Gala for Student Drama, co-produced by MainLine Theatre and Factory Line productions, our artists will perform in four shows in three days. I'm pretty excited about it all. Through the years, we have met many talented artists and producers who've come back to play important roles in the MainLine community, thanks to the Gala (ex: Trevor Barrette from To Be: In Concert).
We have a ton of fun events this week at MainLine, but the big news is that OFF/BYOV #FRINGEmtl Forms are now available at www.montrealfringe.ca! Last call for companies, the deadline is fast approaching.
MainLine is in fire this January! It's been really incredible to see sold out performances of L'Espace Commun/Common Space, Confabulation, Le Projet Migration, Ivory Towers & Will-O-Whisps. Let's keep the magic alive this week with To Be: In Concert by Trevor Barrette and Me, Myself & Eye by MainLine's artist-in-residence Stéphanie Morin-Robert.
We are back to business and its time for the Bouge d'ici Dance Festival! Bouge d'ici celebrates the local dance scene in all its forms, with live performances, screenings of dance films and workshops. We have a killer lineup this year for our 5th edition, including Le Projet Migration all the way from San Francisco.

It's a straight up theatre week. The landscape of the Montreal emerging theatre community is always changing and ever growing. This week, we have two young companies at MainLine. The continuation of ROPE & The Woman in Black by Lowenport Productions as well as the opening of None of the Above by Kaleidoscope Theatre, directed by Trevor Barrette and Michelle Lewis.
