Love and Loathing: gritty truth about mothers

Allie Weigh Productions

Company website

With her own original compositions, violin, voice and intimate monologues Allie Weigh delves into the reality of mothering and its contradictions in this time when women have more choice, more expectations and shifting desires. Allie Weigh leaves her kitchen sink and psychotherapist chair to share searing, touching and humorous truths about the secret lives and struggles of mothers with her audience.

"Allie Weigh weaves a poetic and musical spell that is by turns
funny, meditative, and moving." John Arthur Sweet, monologist.

"Allie Weigh’s talent for storytelling, beautiful voice, and musical excellence share the stage with violin and time travel in an intimate and gorgeous first solo show...Laugh, groove, look back satisfied." Cat Kidd writer/performer
